Directions:
If you rent a car at the airport: Once you leave the Airport parking lot look for the sign Compostela (green sign), turn right and take the left lane, you will go under the highway, take an U turn, follow the four lane highway 200 to the North, you will have to follow the signs that say Compostela - Tepic. And keep driving North on hwy 200, you will pass the bridge over the Ameca River which is the limit of Jalisco State and you will enter to Nayarit State & Riviera Nayarit, ahead you will find Jarretaderas with an overhead bridge, ahead Nuevo Vallarta with another overhead pass and then Mezcales crossroad, ahead is the town of Bucerías, and later a sign that says Punta Mita, take the right at the signs that says "Salida", at this point you'll be over the bridge, you will pass the Pemex Gas station, you have arrived to the town of La Cruz de Huanacaxtle! You will see a side road on your right, exit the main road, take the side road, you will see Villa Bella nested up on the hill right in front of you, pass the hill and immediatly turn right (50 mts. aprox before the only traffic light in town) , this road will take you up hill. turn right again and enjoy the view.. you have arrived to Villa Bella!
Driving Directions:
If you are a traveling by car from Guadalajara or Tepic:
Once you have reached Tepic take hwy 200 to Puerto Vallarta (it will be around 2.5 hours drive to Villa Bella) you will pass La Peñita de Jaltemba & Rincón de Guayabitos towns, (about 45 minutes away from Villa Bella) soon you will see the town of Lo de Marcos, this means you have entered to Banderas Bay County, the next town is San Francisco and ahead Sayulita, ( about 15 minutes away from Villa Bella) .The 200 hwy will change from 2 lane to a 4 lane boulevard, take the right lane (do not pass under the bridge), exit the 200 hwy you will see the sea and a small fisherman's village on the front right, turn to the right...you have arrived to the town of La Cruz de Huanacaxtle, you will see a side road on your right, exit the main road, take the side road, you will see Villa Bella nested on the hill right in front of you, pass the hill and immediately turn right this road will take you up hill and.. enjoy the view.. you have arrived!
If you are traveling by car from Isla Navidad or Manzanillo
(3 hours approximately)
Take highway to Puerto Vallarta, once you get in Puerto Vallarta you will have to cross the whole town (you can take the short cut using the tunnel, look for the green sign with the name Libramiento on it) once you have reached the main boulevard called Francisco Medina Ascencio (or the hotel zone) this boulevard will take you to the end of the town, by La Marina and ahead by the Airport , then you will have to follow the signs that say Compostela-Tepic.
